My name is Sarah Green and I’m an author illustrator of children’s stories. I’ve been told they’re good. By my own children admittedly, but they have excellent taste, so you can definitely trust them.

My first book Father Christmas Fixes Christmas started when I was a single mum to two young boys. The pressure of giving them the Christmas they deserved, with the man in red and all of his magic, felt like an overwhelming task. The world is getting increasingly expensive and magic seemed harder to achieve.

There began the story of why Father Christmas hates electronics, and his plan to cancel them, whether people want him to or not. I needed my boys to know that if someone in their class got lots of expensive presents, it didn’t necessarily mean that person had been better behaved, or that Father Christmas liked them more.

Sometimes my stories are just for silliness though, and a reason to gobble little toes. If you ever pretend to eat your children’s ears, then you may enjoy reading The Bedtime Witch with them, it’s out now.
